All the Cross-Quarter Holidays are when the Sun is exact Mid-Season at 15° of the Fixed Signs.
And that will be tonight – at 12:47 am est.

Candidates for initiation are being encouraged by the college of initiates, or however we want to think of that.
Everything that has ever moved humans to conscious kinship, and the capacity for revelatory images.
Jupiter is called the ruler of Sagittarius, even though it’s in Scorpio, it’s homebase is Sagittarius. So we go, who – what part of our collective psyche – is in Sagittarius, and we go Saturn!
Saturn is in Sagittarius. And it trines Uranus. In fact the exact trine will be on November 11th, 4:41 am est… but it’s within seconds right now.
And just for the fun for it, for a bit of long term resonance… Neptune and Uranus are Retrograde… meaning their apparent motion is backwards, and I like thinking of retrograde planets, they appear as an illusion to us, on Earth, to be moving backwards, they are not really, we are just passing their orbits… but symbolically, because we like ‘illusion’ – ‘in ludo’ = ‘in the game’ – both of those are going on a vision quest to go backwards, to go backwards…
Neptune (in Retrograde), is researching all resonant poetry, and mythology, and fairytales, and useful things, and anything that has moved humans to conscious kinship in a good way…. And then it stations on November 22nd, to go forward. Which is outward, there we go, diaspora… spreading this outward, spreading this outward…
As our councilmate, Sylvia, long ago taught me, she goes, ‘Trines – 120° angles – we are taught are ‘oh how wonderful’ – but there’s nothing simple, they are in accord, but they are like greased lightning’
So it’s useful, especially before these two planets go direct, to go ‘Where would we like… change… genius… where would we like to direct ‘swoosh’’

Jupiter-Neptune does give the quality of the atmosphere, as though one were in water, in slow-motion…
and doing in the water this wonderful Qigong move, called ‘repulsing the monkey’ – where you are moving backwards but one is going ‘swoosh, swoosh’ – you’re moving backwards, but you’re fending off the up to no good, and if the up to no good rushes at you, you are aikido-ing and going, ‘and you ~ go over there ~ and you ~ over there ~ swoosh’
So the ‘swooshing’ is a very simple, playful, wonderful thing to do – ‘where does this want to go ~ swoosh’ – it’s the antidote to fear and dread and these sorts of things
