So welcome team how wonderful together with dedicated allies dedicated fellow agents of compassionate trickster at this time of dire beauty, as I often say. so yeah welcome old people no- older people, hue hue coyotes an ancient revered coyote, been hanging for a long time, a new people just joining us very wonderful. So yes we gather our wit we gather our goat – you know in this last week the last week of winter the sun has been squaring Saturn So it’s like ohhh and I really did feel an energetic distinction between last night and this morning when it was when it was the vernal equinox like whoa OK! So as I as I wrote they have a goats we have a goats. We retrieve… so as I wrote in a missive it’s like last night was the waning moments of winter, and I did give an equinox presentation with wonderful long time collaborator Amikaylea Gaston (and it’s true that she and I will be co emceeing one of the main stages at the symbiosis festival in eastern Oregon on the eclipse) that’s what it’s for, and the eclipse we want to honor –
Eclipses in medieval astrology were the downfall of tyrants – So we fluff up everything everything from the past that’s useful and that eclipse at twenty eight plus Leo will be right on Trump’s ascendant and also Steve Bannon’s moon he he he he. So we like that. and I was asking backstage if anybody had been in a total eclipse and it’s a very mysterious, powerful thing – that won’t always happen in a in a couple hundred thousand years because it won’t because the moon is slowly moving away from the earth and – but we live on the only planet we know where the sun and the moon are the exact same size and since we are creatures that love symmetry and pattern tracking beings you know there’s something incredibly physical and and spiritually spirited about this that is like amazing it brings even the most kind of objective scientists to their knees because what happens you know and even just talking about it… because the metaphor that one of our team mates Sylvia gave me a long time ago is, ‘Before an eclipse you know it’s spooky. And the winds come up and and there are striations across the land that flicker like of ‘fa-fa-fuh-fa-fuhfa’ and the the moon turns the sun into a crescent moon as it slowly moves across and we go ‘oooh’. And if one’s under thatched leaves anywhere there just myriad little crescent moon little crescent shapes of light everywhere ‘dah-dah-dahdadah’ and then at the moment of totality – so gets very spooky and even scientists on the beach are quite spooked – and then at the moment totality and people travel you know a bazillion miles for this and I think in Oregon it’s just shy of two minutes, but it’s an amazing two minutes because it does drop you to your knees like ‘Whoa!’ and the stars come out and you see that the golden jewel around the sun of all the solar flares and the jewels around the sun it’s like ‘whoa!’ and everybody goes to sleep… the fish in the ocean – I was once in the ocean when there was an eclipse and the fish go to sleep – and the birds go to sleep. And so the metaphor is that before an eclipse it gets spooky (it’s like well whoa!) but then you can see the stars – so the model is you can see possibilities, that one couldn’t see before you know afterwards – and so we go all right. So where we’re casting our line just August twenty first just for the fun of it.
It’s an intriguing sun moon – of course New Moon. And twenty eight Libra will be rising at the moment of the eclipse in Oregon and that’s got a wonderful image to it – I use Steve Eardley Sabian as well as the traditional sabians and the image for that is, ‘men toiling in a dark pit a woman calmly lowers a rope’ and I love that image because it’s like, ‘oh yoo-hoo! lads! Here’s a rope you know if you want you can climb out there or you can stay toiling.. I’ve got stuff to do, here, I will tie the rope to a tree – there you go’ and it is you know as I’ve mentioned before when I asked the I-Ching after this election, you know ‘what is your metaphor’ and The I-Ching Steven Karcher’s I-Ching (Total I-Ching) which I love said, ‘In ancient times bad rulers would put five venomous creatures in a jar and wait until one of them had killed and eaten the others’ and like well that’s but thank you thank you I-Ching that a great, harsh but kind of apt image, and we go Oh so so we’ll honor that but I’m also surrounded by charts of now and the the vernal equinox which kind of sets the theme for this whole season and the strategy is Wow And then I’ve got the oh oh everybody’s chart you know but also.
It was. It was the end of a cycle last night and even in the small way it was a beautiful and quirky small assembly. Of many stalwarts Tara was there and Barbara was there and Royelen was there and Ann O’Leary was there and but everybody else was kind of new and and or ancient – people hadn’t seen in decades and we go ‘oo’ So I got that going ‘Hmm well that really was the waning moments of winter, the end before the beginning’ and then this morning really felt like the beginning but in the wee hours and wonderful Eryn was here overnight then and getting me organized and that was such a blessing such a blessing it’s so good to have collaborators.
So but I did you know fall into synchronously Bernie’s address that I sent you the link of – it’s long I only watched an hour of it myself into the wee hours – but I go wow that was really a great equinox address even though it was given you know a ways ago but it was like ‘Wow’ And I’ve noted that Bernie Sanders chart is really Hoppin’ and because his Mars is at twenty three degrees Aries and right now in the sky Uranus is at twenty three degrees of Aries, and Jupiter is opposing that – meaning – I watched and I thought ‘what a consummate story crafting person’ I couldn’t tell if he had notes, but it was very coherent and organized and powerful. And the Uranus part – Uranus again is trickster awakening it’s a once every eighty four year transit – He was compassionate and lucid and clear about guiding ‘how did this happen’ you know where we are now with a deep you know deep deep delving kind of understanding and then ‘what shall we do’ and how to spark and come alive but it was really great. And I did go to sleep going ‘oh I wish I could kind of work the material over – cooking and composting I wish I could do it again’ – and I woke up to spring, going ‘Oh! I get to tonight with you team – we can compost and cook together – and so we will with what was beautiful from last night, and the quickening vitality of spring (that really does feel distinctly available).
So it’s sort of the erghiness into. Yeah that one of those wonderful lines from John O’Donohue ‘the delight when your courage kindled’ – this is very now right The Sun just entered Aries – very powerful wonderful it’s the first degree whose image is ‘a woman emerging from the sea, a seal is embracing her’ like ‘aahhhh’. So ‘delight when your courage kindled’ may it be so for all of us ‘and out you stepped on to new ground your eyes young again with energy and dream a path of plenitude opening before you’ that’s very now – we will animate that it’s very it’s very metaphor available and all of these words crafting.. the wonderful Japanese word ‘Kototama’ means ‘Language of the Spirit’ – ‘koto’ is word language and speech and ‘tama’ spirit or soul (both – Tama) – so we speak things into existence, we speak and sing the desirable world into being, as we aspired to do. So O’Donohue, John O’Donohue says ‘though your destination is not yet clear’ we could say this micro and macro ‘you can trust the promise of this opening -unfurl yourself into the grace of beginning that is that one with your life’s desire – Awaken your spirit to adventure hold nothing back learn to find ease in risk and soon you’ll be home in a new rhythm, for your soul senses the world but awaits you’ so why that’s quite perfect. Yeah our destinations are not yet clear. But trust the promise of his opening -why not? Unfurl what what a wonderful word what a wonderful kind of Kototama word, going ‘unfurl like a fern frond’ there into the great of beginning – this is a new beginning today.
‘And is at one with your life’s desire’ the Sun enters Aries which is the realm of Mars and so we say it’s the incarnation of Mars we go Well that’s wonderful because one of the beautiful patterns – and I will speak astrologically but always aspire to translate it into useful English (and do feel free to chime in if you want going what do you mean or what about that or whatever Star seven will allow you to speak and star six will restore you to audio privacy so again that star seven There we go and you can also send in by e-mail or by Message things that are passed on to me while while we’re here) – so here we are the incarnation of Mars so in setting forth on this new season right now we go OK the Sun entered Aries – Mars’ sign – Where’s Mars? – And we go woo it’s in Taurus and quite near Ceres Demeter (or the goddess of the earth – a dwarf planet) at that fabulous degree 14+ Taurus which is ‘in the midst of a wild windstorm’ you know ‘a doctor magician walks into town carrying a large black bag’ you know it’s the it’s the wizard you know and wise woman part of all of us and Mars is coming to approach it.
And so Mars is in Taurus – Venus’ sign – and Venus is in Aries – about to disappear this week from the western sky, go into the underworld and then reemerge as the Morning Star – quite soon right around around the thirtieth as she’s only gone for like a week usually she’s gone for forty days (can’t leave the humans unsupervised!) but so Venus is in Aries – Mars’ sign – that’s called mutual reception, it’s a beautiful phrase and it’s a beautiful thing and what it how it guides us going well what is the ‘what is the assignment?’ well it’s Mars in Taurus – The green man – the Mars and it’s Venusian aspect of Dedicated to beauty and poetry and singing the world into being and gardening and herbs and medicine and stewardship and kindness to dogs and animals (and there was a dog there last night that was really wonderful too!) We always say to dogs you know your doing or I always say to dogs ‘you’re doing such a good job of being a dog! woof! yes you are!’ you know – Everybody wants their story, and Venus in Aries (so Venus part of all of us wants to be quite woofy you know again in defense of beauty) so. I thought if we go. You know things I want to bring before the council that we can animate together is.
Jupiter is rising in the east right now from World Headquarters in Cabin John Maryland outside Washington D.C. at twenty degrees of Libra – that’s when the Statue of Liberty was was installed Jupiter was at twenty degrees of Libra she’s stirring, she stirring, you know her Statue of Liberty born over here October 28th 1886 12:45 P.M. pretty close in New York and it’s a quirky journey because as we’ve discussed before, the original template the template for the Statue of Liberty was based on in an Egyptian Muslim woman. The sculptor went to Egypt and was very inspired and then he traveled to America – and my my radio guest this week will be Bob Hieronimus and his coauthor on the secret story of ah Lady of liberty. so the Statue of Liberty the bringer of light you know is a powerful motif in Native American imagery but also in Egyptian imagery which he saw and we’re going to honor this and in many ways… ah the confluence of stories all over but when when the Statue of Liberty was installed (one) women were not allowed to attend the ceremony, there’s that. They did illegally follow along in boats going you Yahoo aghah Here’s some rope get climb out of the pit – but Mercury was over had at twenty three degrees of Scorpio whose image is now ‘a woman giving a sermon on the mount’ we go – that’s great so it’s all kind of coming alive as Bernie Sanders is having a Uranus chart – his transit his Mars at twenty three Aries coming alive coming alive – you know as keeper of democracy and lucid storyteller. So is the Statue of Liberty you know and we’ve been we’ve been bringing before the council this concept of egregores right which are thought forms – and as Dion Fortune wrote its thought forms that have are part of the cultural vernacular that can be fed and quickened and brought alive and we love that and we go.
So there’s a quirky 150° angle from Jupiter to Mercury and transits you know how we time unfoldment – work with humans, work with humans’ charts even after their dead, work with statues apparently you know, and we’re tracking all of these beautiful and powerful things – so so Jupiter rising you know part of our theme that we’ve been playing with it says all its retrograde until June ninth. So retrograde planets are really going on a vision quest and Jupiter is curiosity, traveling, wisdom, life is a journey of sequential unfoldment all of those things so Jupiter retrograde really does say all ancient wisdom of it as ever moved humans to participatory conscious kinship is available it wants to be excavated as we as we rummage around in our own lives you know cleaning things out and scraps of paper and journals and files and computer file… Everything whatever we have going is how synchronicity will speak to us even things we turn on T.V. It’s like watching THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL which was such a good powerful thing that happened a little while ago to me going wow that movie really holds up Klaatu Barada Nikto is the crucial phrase that prevents the destruction of the of the earth and we want to put everything you know ancient wisdom, vernacular wisdom, all these things are the classic movie also ‘Enemy of the State’, you know in which the great Gene Hackman character a former N.S.A. guy says when they’re being you know dementors are after them and he says, ‘Their strengths are their weaknesses – our weaknesses our strengths – they are large and lumbering (We’ll get to careening and lumbering in the ship of state – careening and lumbering simultaneously going wow and..) – And we’re small and agile.’
And it reminds us also of you know what Uranus brings to light – Uranus trickster ingenuity experimentation try things you know associated the last ideas are democracy quality synchronicity – reminding us that we can all have different roles but when we treat each other as equals the rate of synchronicity increases dramatically. And I think you know part of what we can intend for you know as a team as a group that by our convening as we align with these powerful patterns and make them our dance pattern power partners that mean we can therefore increase the rate of synchronicity – the right conversation at the right time, things unfolding, there we go. So and always part of our wisdom from whatever we’re rummaging through – and it really has been synchronous again cleaning out backs of bookshelves and there’s a beautiful letter from 2005 – twelve years ago and there it is and Jupiter’s got a twelve year cycle and remember it invites us to think about our journey in our lives and how everything no matter how difficult or wonderful has been each chapter has been building in some thing ..so it’s this renewal of enthusiasm and rummaging in our past going ‘what have I ever done or whatever I ever loved or whatever whatever I ever studied or practiced that was meaningful?’ because it’s all surfacing. you know ‘To apply everything’ we we love that. Because it’s part of ‘who brought what to this renaissance?’ this rising renaissance coming out of so much tribulation.
And there’s a powerful beautiful thing. Again the micro and the macro – so I’ve had a client for a long time goes way back into the eighty’s whose name is Lucia (which is bringer of light) and she got in touch with me recently she’s been in Kenya she’s been part of our trickster team tuning in from from Kenya. Although the hours were difficult but she has granted me permission to tell this story, that she adopted this young woman whose name is Hope. And Hope had been the only survivor of her village in the Congo that had been burned, some years back and everyone was lost but her. And she was you know grievously injured, and everyone who should have helped her actually afflicted her – imprisoned her raped her kept her in servitude – she escaped to Nairobi where she didn’t speak anybody’s language, was raped again, became pregnant… and that point Lucia, who’s a doctor and also a midwife adopted her and managed to somewhat improve her circumstance. And took her out also on safari and Hope – you know who grew up in Africa but had never been out in the bush – and she was amazed at the beauty of it and Lucia said you know ‘this is Africa too you know not just the horrible part.’ And Hope said ‘well who feeds the animals?’ and Lucia said ‘well the grass and things and sometimes they eat each other’ and she was like ‘oh No!’ She goes, ‘No, that’s how it is I’m on this planet.’ So expanding things. And Lucia gave her blank journal books and pens that she’d never had and she’s like ‘oh blank journals and pens how wonderful!’ So let us all feel incredibly wealthy that we have pen and paper and ways to write and all of those things. And so she began studying English – she was supposed to come here to America for the birth but Trump kiaboshed that – so Lucia’s going back to be with her. And yesterday her daughter Rosie was born, there was a little video shot mostly in the dark, which was good, which was beautiful. And Lucia had been saying to her, because Hope has a Sun – Uranus conjunction in Aquarius, and is a beautiful, beautiful and strong survivor person, and Lucia’s been saying you know ‘you could do anything, Hope, you could you could address the U.N. on beauty emerging from evil.’ Because here’s again this beautiful baby the result of a rape, but this beautiful Rosie, with a great chart, you know born yesterday. And I just wanted to bring that in and and to wed these things you know as the Statue of Liberty as a powerful embrace ing image. I said that we would put out a prayer you know for Hope and Rosie that the path unfurl for them to come here, where they have a home with with Lucia bringer of light – and then the large statue of the bringer of light the Statue of Liberty we appeal to her to against all against all odds unfurl the path for Rosie and Hope to journey to America. Where Hope would like to address the U.N. on her story. Because part of what’s brewing now is everybody’s got a story – and this powerful time we meet tonight, and the season and all of that, so much going on this revelation, but for our own purposes you know how we choose to animate it going, we all have a story to tell. And certainly Rosie, well Rosie and Hope you know very much and we we love that.
I did want to honor – I don’t know how many of you you know listened to, had time to listen to, will listen to you know – Bernie’s speech but again that’s what Uranus on Mars kind of looks like where you come alive you know and the image for Uranus right now (for all of us) is ‘curtains blown inward in the shape of a cornucopia – letting in fresh air all – openness to the Imagine imagination – filling out one’s aspirations – feeling of bounty and potential – loosening up you know – equalizing pressures inside and outside’ and we go ‘woo woo how wonderful!’
There is that, there’s a real shifting today and with that in mind wanted to to explore together really. Well to welcome Rose in hope you know again path unfurling – That that all was lost, but Hope! you know everything real – everything speaking to us as though it were a dream. And then also you know I guess backstage you know part of our council Patricia Ewing had called me earlier in the day for many reasons but also said, Have you been watching the hearings? ‘No I hadn’t’ and nor had our backstage team – but I heard some on the radio and it’s like ‘ooo’ because all of the kind of political people who are going ‘this is this is bigger than Watergate.’ So that’s why I thought I would also bring that you know up before us too – because it’s humming it’s humming. Before us. So Yes All right so here we go OK.
There’s the today – right now – the Our Chart which is kind of our guiding story, it’s quite wonderful: Jupiter rising in the East, Uranus setting in the West, the awakening power of story and story crafting, a story and and trickster you know as keepers of democracy protectors of democracy from the Dementors of doom. Last night the Moon’s image at 22+ Sagittarius was ‘the crown and torch of the Statue of Liberty – the necessity to defend democracy from tyranny’ we go whoa whoa that’s right and Saturn is going to go forwards and backwards over that spot you know over and over again exactly opposite Donald Trump’s Sun yehehehe – you well it’s all being staged as you know in a way, I mean it’s horrific staging, because as people you know posted on our on our great Facebook page you know there’s much that is you know there is something by – the edict the edict to completely abolish the Environmental Protection Agency by early 2018 as well as the Department of Education those apparently those are those are and ….one of the things that happened, didn’t happen – we look at the dog that barked, as well as the dog that didn’t bark as you know – as we protect as much beauty as possible. The appointee the Department of the Interior had said that he was going to give an announcement on Friday. And then he said no not Friday on Monday. But he didn’t and it was going to be an announcement that he was going to be rescinding Obama’s declaring of the Bear’s Ears National Monument null and void. And this is a legal fight here this is or well it is a legal fight there is the use of the word fight that we’re going to you know change and play with. And I know many many people been working decades on the bear’s ears project, it’s in southeastern Utah it was again approved by Obama as he went out the door, of 1.3 million acres of beautiful wilderness – and the Bears ears you know this butte that looks like bear’s ears, going, ‘hello hello hello.’ And to be stewarded by the five indigenous tribes who lived there for millennia. And in happy partnership with the federal government – may it may it continue to exist in some positive form that we recreate! Ah!
Because everything’s kind of coming down we want to honor that dynamic – that this looting of democracy – this destruction of democracy – this kind of Plutonian thing (that we’ll get to when we get to Steve Bannon’s chart!) Is a kin, really energetically akin, to much in the world that is misnamed Isis – but we know as Diesh – the looting of antiquities, the destruction of you know structures and all it’s like… that which is why you know at the Republican convention playing with the delegates you know they could not distinguish a quote from Diesh (or Isis) and Trump because it was the same thing. It was the Con – It was the toxic mimic of the inviting you know ‘Come! we will root out corruption! and people haven’t been paying attention to you! and here we will honor you! and we will stand up for you!’ and all those things.
And so this brings us to this really important – the story craft the story craft – that was the toxic mimic – the con. And the con is always imprisoning and then, for our purposes, the trick is what’s liberating – the authentic invitation. you know ‘Come! We need you to do this project! we need you we need everybody! every – you know who brought what? we need everybody – We need those of you against eminent domain (you know right wingers over here over here)’ – So part of the power of why we gather – you know and why we gather now – you know and how how good that is to have a dedicated group of people connecting with many many groups and many many wonderful people around the world you know who are dedicated to being agents of not being snookered into polarity – agents of story craft – you know agents of being able to invite you know people to the larger story of the authentic initiation (that’s really crucial here we go)!
So so in happy collaboration with the federal government there there was (and there – may it be!) an educational center in Butte Utah – a wonderful quirky place – Bluff, Utah. And it was going to be it is going to be dedicated to traditional Native American guiding wisdom of how to wisely cooperate with nature, interwoven happily with Western science – it’s crucial: Western science with the soul. It’s like metaphysics and physics getting married again, and then they can have a child, which would be reverent science. Science as though life mattered – science in service to all life.
As William McDonough said ‘we want to create a world that is wonderful for the lives of all children the children of all species’ and we all know the you know the horrors, but but but you know phuffa. You know that in this short time you know and where we want to stand up for what we love in in in all forms that unfold before us. You know the Trump administration has said ‘Oh it is it is OK to go into national land and to shoot bear cubs in their den and wolf cubs in their den as well as wolves you know in Idaho and everywhere’ and you know and the other day you know one of the cyanide baits for coyotes in Idaho killed a three year old Labrador dog named Casey and there’s there’s nothing more there’s nothing more guileless or innocent than a three year old Labrador – named Casey! – and injured the fourteen year old boy that was with him. It’s like why do we have cyanide traps? Oh Humans! Oh rudeness of species! We’ve had we’ve had humans who were you know cruel and terrible before – but never with such a technology of you know horrific destruction.
And as Sir Herbert Read said, you know ‘only those serving an apprenticeship to nature can be trusted with technology’ and we go yes – we bring up everything again. You know and see if this resonates you know in everybody’s life, that you know fragments of flotsam and jetsam kind of rise up, conversations with friends, conversations with friends who are living, conversations with friends who are ancestors now, passages in books, it’s all kind of coming up… all of these things. And for all of us to begin to collage them because it they will be revealed imminently as a kind of you know unfurling pattern for each person of what everyone can do. It’s you know unexpected and wild. So you know the incredible cruelty …as well as being able to coal companies can dump coal waste in streams.. it’s the war on life. And it’s quite intentionally the war on life and in so many ways. There was an excellent article well by Jane Meyer in The New Yorker on the backers of of Trump and Bannon – and again all these curious links so. Andrew Breitbart founded Breitbart news I stood next to him right now I don’t not only did I you know a couple months ago meet me the former cop who busted the Watergate burglars at my little local bar going really that’s pretty much his whole life… but I stood next to Andrew Breitbart, you know in the last moments of his life really over the last weeks of his life, and I didn’t know who he was just a crazy person ranting and even had to be kind of gently guided away by his conservative fellows. And it’s Breitbart News you know and then Steve Bannon works on it and then Robert Mercer mega mega wealthy guy (like the Kochs – only bigger) gave them I think ten million dollars that turned this you know accumulation of blogs into Breitbart News – but it was really nothing until it was funded with ten million dollars. And also what’s coming down the line you know is to lift all restrictions off of ‘citizens united’ even the little ones that remain – It used to be that you had a PAC and the PAC could not (was not supposed to) directly deal with political candidates… but they want to dissolve that, so that you could give somebody, somebody wants to run for office and you go here’s five hundred thousand dollars… (Bernie talks about this) you know and we will give you your staff, and we will write your speeches, and we will own you – right?
And then so Statue of Liberty – all sane and reverent people – because there is beauty. There is Hope, and there’s Rosie, and there’s people rising up in embrace and oneness you know everywhere. So it’s it’s neck and neck but we also therefore we call upon you know – remember part of our experimental dynamic is: when we don’t know what to do we invite in trickster. And Mars in Taurus says nothing more wonderful than inviting something in – you know come on in trickster. Whatever’s best for everyone involved Come on in. And that’s what we’ll explore as themes to be unfolding with the hearings – again it’s complex storytelling – but that are quite resonant with the Watergate charts, that we will honor as well so.
You know it reminds us that you know all of these beautiful metaphors that are provided for us that we, we want – it behooves us to animate them lest they be animated by the dementors or de-animated by the dementors in some way. So Steve Bannon’s chart I sort of created a rising sign – I think Sylvia’s also working on this too – but I play around, and I go oh that looks good, because remember it gave him – well he’s got a Moon Pluto conjunction in Leo right on top of Donald Trump’s ascendant which is also right where the August twenty first eclipse will be – and we go yeah we would like the whole kit and caboodle! Because people go ‘oh Pence is worse’ and we go ‘yeah the whole kit and caboodle!’ Because the extensive investigation into Russian hacking is underway and this is where you know we we we collaborate with with – however trickster wants to manifest – because our primary you know dynamic is: let anything up to no good to be revealed, rendered harmless, and in the fullness of time the an occasion for mirth.
And we go, ugh yes that’d be really good. So so Steve Bannon – so Moon Pluto conjunction in Leo – makes a lot of sense in Steve Bannon’s chart and it all – to to ‘animate’ – cinema’s a big part of this thing, he made a number of movies, he admired Leni Riefenstahl and you know mimics her (Leni Riefenstahl was the powerful woman filmmaker, a Nazi propagandist – ‘triumph of the will’) and so he’s modeled his films on ‘Triumph of the will’ and you know he made his anti- Obama films, and his anti- Hillary films, his anti- you know everything films… but what he’s up to – he really thinks that war is inevitable and desirable and it’s a war of Christianity against everything. And his intention – that he says is: to destroy – you know and Robert Mercer has been giving him tens of millions tens of millions of dollars and the Trump campaign as well – destroy the the government, you know to to loot the State Department (one of our team on our council is you know is and is one of our allies still there and we go but a very stealthy person so likely to be able to remain there), but Rachel Maddow did do a great thing about it all and the thing that you know that Putin most wanted obeyed you know was really the looting and disassembling of the State Department and that’s you know they fired their top staff people who were not political appointees but who had been there forty years some of them and we go Wow.
So so Bannon wants to destroy everything – throw all into the cauldron and to have a ‘great war’ – a race war, a religious war – that’s really what he’s quite up to. And they also did a study in coming up to Obama’s second term saying, ‘Well opposing Obama – he’s still pretty popular – so we’re going to create a meme in which everyone finds him disappointing.’ That they intended to put this word out so that people would use the word disappointing with Obama – and you remember how everybody used the word I’m so disappointed in Obama? And you know part of me was like this it was a memo and it was a con. One could certainly be other words, you know, but remember the word disappointing – ‘dis’ means underworld – so when one says ‘I am’ and there’s nothing more powerful than saying ‘I am fill in the blank’ because it’s invocative magic you know, ‘I am disappointed’ means ‘I am powerless in the underworld’ right it’s it’s black magic. I mean and that’s really in a sense what we’re looking at – you know black magic and remember you know the essence of black magic is ‘my will’ and the essence essence of white magic is ‘thy will’ what it what is truly best for everybody come on and so these are these are bad wizards.
And so the other thing I want to mention about Steve Bannon’s chart is not only the Leo propagandist filmmaker, that bears looking at, going whoa! but that squares his Scorpio planets (and I have them too – what are you doing with my chart?) Mercury and Venus in Scorpio. And Venus at 19+ Scorpio which I’d always, well we love, we’ll see how it’s being negatively negatively possessed. And as Sylvia had said long ago, 19+ Scorpio by the medieval men astrologers was called ‘the accursed degree of the accursed sign’ because it’s image was you know ‘a woman draws back to dark curtains leading to a sacred pathway’ and the men at that time were like ‘oh no no no that’s you know women’s power women sorcery it’s really bad.’ But it’s quirky that Steve Bannon has that you know and so in a in a negative way ‘drawing back to dark curtains leading to a’ you know not a sacred pathway – but a ‘dark pathway’ towards you know war and opposition and the looting of things and the destruction.
So as everything’s being kind of – when I was listening to Bernie last night and looking at all these patterns and going, right, so there’s destructive forces so trickster, part of our what we’re cultivating, you know would would rush in would throw would toss the ring of power into the crack of doom but at the last moment would rescue the grail – the symbol of all life – going no no no there we go and reinvent the world you know it is it’s a death and destruction – reinvent the world – and time and this particular spring is powerful that way. Things are going down and what’s coming up? And you know how do we align with sane reverent people and all that we love and with all the skills that we have – and also reaching back into antiquity for guiding wisdom, cultures you know older and wiser than our own, and bringing those into play. And that’s why I also loved our popularizers, who have taken old traditions and carried the torch of again like the Statue of Liberty the carrying of the torch all of those things you know – and that’s why we’ve been bringing up Dion Fortune and her work in World War II to have people animate desirable visions together. And that’s you know in the unfurling weeks before us, you know and months, you know may it be! You know that that’s what we want to kind of bring before the council like what would we like to animate? What would we like to animate? What would be a wonderful thing? So so there’s the destruction and cataclysmic-ness and cruelty and then Oneness – we remember our friend Deborah Felmeth says Salaam peace in Arabic, Shalom peace in Hebrew, is not the absence of war it’s the presence of Oneness. And everything over and over again, along with the myths, say ‘well let us keep all the value of our unique unique unique journey but dedicated into collective wellbeing’ you know ‘what did everything want to be before it became bamboozled’ you know ‘what did this want to be and how do we track it all the way back and set it free and liberated into this spiraling dynamic?’
So today you know one of the one of the beautiful things that’s going on right now in our in our gathering chart is the Sun at 0+ Aries – embarking on the season – has a close to exact quintile a 72° angle to Pluto so so how do we want to engage? you know Pluto. The quintile is ‘irresistible eloquence’ is one way that I’ve that I’ve found to express it. It’s a skill – so it’s the hero or heroine skill, embarking on this journey right now, you know to powerfully engage the positive aspects of the underworld. Pluto is stationing at 19+ Capricorn it will retrograde on April 20th. And again feel free to point out patterns… its image for that degree of the zodiac is ‘a hidden choir is singing’ we go Oh yeah there’s a lot going on backstage, there’s a lot of to and fro. I like to think of the gods backstage eating popcorn watching, going, ‘oh my God look at what they look at when they’re doing! Oh my god I hope somebody invites us to participate because we can only – spiritual etiquette says – we can only join in the fun and bound on to the world stage if we’re invited.’ And we look to the chart that says you know ‘dedicated acts of beauty invite power into the world’ setting our templates, our egregores, our Statue of Liberty, our you know the things on our altar – micro and macro – are all very powerful now.
Remember the and so so so part of you know part of the kind of Charles Manson like aspect of Bannon the diesh, ISIS, Charles Manson aspect of Bannon is he he says openly he would like to have a race war, and he would like division, you know and that’s that’s the crucial thing that we want to tease into the molecules of our being – the dementors want division, they want to cacophony, they want crisis. All of that. You know the sacred teachings of Law and Order I remember when Bobby says you know ‘sociopaths love a crisis, that’s where they do their best work’ right. So then we, so how are we, you know and willing to be you know not snookered into polarity, escaping from that, you know swoosh the Aikido swoosh going down this way not this way Here we go…and agents of calm and cool response in a hot reactive world. And we draw on everything you know and again you know everybody’s invited to bring up useful things. You know so. You know so how do we not be snookered and in keeping with the Saturn dynamic you know we we want to practice. You know somebody said you know ‘trickster training ministry school council? you know can tricksters be trained?’ And I go, Yeah yeah we want to practice in our mind’s eye, we want to practice backstage, so that we you know kind of relax into nature’s guiding spiral and swoosh so that we’re you know and we want to dedicate (you know hold me to this) before any event or anything you know the backstage prayer you know people, members of my team here who do publicly present, backstage – a sacred place is a wonderful place to make vows – you know ‘guide me to be calm and responsive you know in a high reactive world’ ‘guide me to only answer the questions that I wish were asked’ right because it’s all about story it’s all about story so.
The Bannon-Trump-Dementors you know have their hand on the tiller of the ship of state, which is lumbering and careening. And I do love Tony Vigorito’s …. wonderful book I hosted him on radio last week ‘Love and Other Pranks’ – in which he says the novel basically is about ‘a narcissistic tyrant who is overcome by a powerful wily woman and a man wise enough to cahoot with her’ and we go well that’s extremely timely. That’s you know completely perfectly we do love that we want to bring that into play. And in his novel which is quite jaunty and powerful and fun. And it does spin between worlds kind of eighteenth century world of you know positive piracy positive intrigue in a modern kind of California world. And he’s very good at liberating satire – something we want to bring into into play – he does critique the toxic mimic, while being dedicated to the real trickster Redeemer kind of dynamic. But in his in his book and the characters you know kind of weave from the past into the present but there is a you know a tyrant a kind of trumpian tyrant who has a boat and the boat is called the ‘Damnation’ and hero and heroine (the positive Mars and Venus figure) their boat is called the ‘Eleusis’ right and it’s like well yeah that’s good.
So to tease it into now I think the model going well because ship of state is the Damnation and the you know the Bannon’s and Bob Mercer and his daughter Rebecca Mercer and Steve Bannon you know they they have their hand on the tiller so here. Here is a visualizing for us all. We remember (from the winter solstice that I engaged my friend wonderful artist Virgina Daley’s dream that she had twenty years ago at standing rock but it was so perfect then) and as we remember in the dream this bad figure stirring a cauldron and a voice in the dream (and bad things you know polarity and up to no goodness and the harming of baby of babies and the right the off of the Yemeni coast the bombing of a boat full of refugees from Somalia it’s like oh no no no humans all of that is coming out of the cauldron) and a voice in the dream says to my friend the dreamer, ‘you must take hold of the steering stick and stir the cauldron in the other direction’ and so she slowly makes her way through the resistant atmosphere and the minute she touches the stick the evil figure Evanescence into air and then she takes hold of the stick and slowly starts to store it in the opposite direction. So now it was that was it but a good metaphor. But now it’s a related thing which is so now it’s not a cauldron with a stirring stick it’s the ship Damnation you know and and the dementors have their hand on the tiller, and so we want to make our way slowly towards the tiller of the ship, and we’ll change its name as well, so putting our hand on the tiller (on the helm which is another all inclusive word for the tiller) so really just even right now, and let’s all together see putting our hands… and and what is the tiller that the steers this ship? It’s the story – it’s Saturn in Sagittarius steers this story just as it did, you know it’s the story stirring cauldron stick, but right now it’s you know it’s Saturn really represents for our purposes right now it’s the tiller – and the tiller is who’s telling the story, who’s telling the narrative? Which is why we’re all one in one thing. We’re all part of each other. The Bernie Sanders part of ourselves – who is such a good story teller in a crafted increasingly inclusive way. I’ve seen him speak with people who are spewing hatred and he would be just very calm and wait for the moment and go ‘so you like your health care?’ Yes ‘Well yes you do do you know what’s happening?’ no I don’t and then just gently without finger wagging, without reactiveness, without remonstration, guiding somebody gently to kind of clarity – there you go, this embrace. And so only we we want that quality – to cultivate that quality – because remember the trickster and trickster Redeemer and Bodhisattva coyote. Oh my time flies. Bodhisattva coyote it’s the part of us that is we’re training to put our dedication in place that we be agents of liberating blessing – no matter what no matter what so. So I do want to also – Well let’s pause for a moment there and go to visualize and maybe keep it going through this week.. of putting hand on tiller, and the tiller is the story, and what’s the desirable story, and with this quality of diving into the underworld you know what do we want to – so there’s destruction you know – what do we want to to toss into (shifting metaphors here again – back to the cauldron) what we want to toss into the cauldron and we go ‘Well how about you know the desire to punish’ into the cauldron and ladle out ‘the desire to heal.’ How about putting into the cauldron all that is not dedicated to collective well being and we go yes that would be good! you know we ladle out you know what what is what is politics meant to be? what is politics meant to be – dedication to collective well being we we ladle out.
And I did just notice another thing in Bannon’s chart (and for the astrologers among us to feel free to you know chime in with comment or Query about the plethora of charts I’ve kind of presented before us) but see Bannon’s chart has these powerful images, these these very powerful images, that are being you know negatively animated. It’s like they can go either way – it’s like in in the Unibomber’s chart, one of the prominent planetary images was ‘Santa Claus you know secretly hiding presents’ it’s like no no no no not bombs not bombs – so in Steve Bannon’s chart is not only is the the powerful Venus that he’s kidnapped, but Mars is at 15+ Libra which is ‘a boat dock is getting repaired’ you know rebuilding the whole world and like ‘no, rebuilding the whole world, not destroying the whole world!’
So that there are things that are humming go away we want to animate the aggression or of the Statue of Liberty we want to put Steve Bannon over there there we go maybe we don’t know where we go again liberating liberating blessing we’re allowed to set in motion anything of which we would be happy recipients – so our ingenuity and our play, you know ‘May those abusing power be moved to a place they can no longer harm themselves by harming others’ is good and ‘May anything up to no good be revealed’ that’s good you know on any other things you know we’re invited to go to bring into play would be most wonderful. And before we touch briefly on you know on the Watergate charts – Let me pause if anybody wants to chime in or send a message or a comment or observation or anything is most welcome.
And there are things that I you know I didn’t get to say last night, I did want to bring up, and Nikola encouraged us to bring up the eclipse – which is quite interesting and beautiful and it is in America right and ‘what would we like to be eclipsed by what’ you know is also a proffered metaphor – ‘May this eclipse this’ in our own personal lives you know and also in the collective life you know ‘May justice and kindness eclipse you know cruelty and dementor’ and any of those things. At the actual moment of the vernal equinox, which was this morning at 6:29 A.M. on the East Coast, you know the equinox is an amazing phenomena, we live in an amazing planet – with eclipses and all. But the vernal equinox is where everywhere in the world – the sun rises due east and sets due west – everywhere in the world it’s amazing like oh wow. I mean what a what an amazing place. So so it’s about setting our navigational sights, you know wherever we live you know and it’s and it’s pretty much you know, there for you know a day or two but but today exactly so wherever we live, we all have our own Stonehenges like well where did the sun rise today, you know in our house what tree what window what place? we go ‘woah’ and that’s a powerful place to do prayer you know and it’s a powerful place to do our blessings. Simple simple simple blessing ceremony or ritual in the morning, or whenever needed, and remember it’s so simple but it participates in the -it strengthens and participates in the quality of generosity and blessings – may go well for you, may go well for you, may it go well for Rosy and Hope, may it go well for these people you know may go well…
I love that Elizabeth Warrens chart is also hopping up and down in the image for her ascendant is ‘two men placed under arrest’ I go, which two, Liz? which two? But we say we bless tyrants because it’s not good for them to be tyrants, we are friends of their soul and therefore friends of their indictment – or you know all of us things. So this is all quite available it’s moving it’s moving it’s starting to move quite quite a lot now – it’s true that Venus is disappearing from the western sky and she’s been a blowing blazing companion for a number of months and and she will disappear this week it’s the last little glimpses of Venus and then she will be invisible. Many ways to tell that story – but if we go back far enough it’s not a grumpy story about being snookered or whatever, that’s a little bit later. But she’s going – there’s a lot of ways to animate it – she’s going into the underworld to gather what we need for the next stage of Renaissance. And so she does disappear but it’s gathering woof – So what do we want to launch what do we want in our own personal lives – but back to the blessing part.
The simple simple thing it’s the first kabbalistic blessing I ever was taught, which is very simple, it’s just you know in the morning or right here where we are right now but in the morning facing due east – because we now know where that is right in our own local neighborhoods – and we imagine sending blessings in the 6 directions: Blessings to all creatures above, and then receiving blessings from all creatures above. And sending blessing to all creatures below, and receiving blessing from all creatures below. And sending blessing to all creatures in the East or in front of us where we were right now, and receiving blessings. And all creatures to our right blessing and inhaling back in receiving blessings. And sending forth blessings spiraling out spiraling out animated out there in back of us you know and blessings in abundance and roses and everything that we can kind of conjure blessings everything in back of us and receiving blessing from everything in back of us. And sending forth blessing to everything to the left of us.
