I use this all the time you know but it still cracks me up he says you know {Eddie Izzard} “Star Trek, a very advanced civilization, and yet their phasers only had two settings – stun or kill – we need many many more phaser settings.” And I think this is useful for street action, and even telepathic street action, because then he came up with many but but the you know ‘left kettle on at home setting’ – ‘I will tear gas – Oh! wait a minute gotta gotta go home!” And or the you know, he does things that are a little bit mean, ‘the bit of a limp setting’ going ‘I will-Uhhno bit of a limp!’ But ‘the sudden interest in botany setting’ – ‘I will tear gas you – Oh! Look at the moth!” And then we could have you know ‘remember your life purpose setting’ – ‘I will-Ooh wow! I want to always wanted to be a biologist!’ So setting settings yes many settings to waft out there.

So you so so when you were reporting {backstage} on what the white power people were taunting and provoking and is that what you were saying Rebecca? [Rebecca: I was explaining there has been a history there’s been anarchists, to like to infect themselves into more peaceful parades… there’s a white, I think it’s Ralph Metzner who was white supremacist in Idaho…] – Oh no Ralph Metzner is the ayahuasca ceremonialist {http://www.greenearthfound.org/ralph_metzner.html}. But but no no that would be good to switch them – to replace the white supremacist with Ralph Metzner, who is sort of a befuddled kind of Mr Magoo entheogenic Explorer – ‘going find and replace, find and replace!’ There is all of that OK well yeah.
So anybody – well that’s important we were we want to concentrate on what you brought forward before the Counsel and I am eager for people to ‘to and fro’ – it would be just jolly to have to and fro.

(Goat noise: Mehhnehhneh) Wherever our goats have gotten got, they come back to us… and look the goats are carrying in their little goat backpacks wonderful bottles of ‘boundaries in a bottle’ – ‘boundaries in a bottle’ a wonderful invention by Dori Midnight {http://dorilandia.com/} but really you can make it anything – you just use a boundaries in a bottle… our Saturn – our goats – we remember that Saturn right now is that a beautiful degree, it’s retrograde, ancient bridge: ancient bridge, building bridges not walls.. there we go and also we notice beside us we have our goats back, but also our magic backpack which contains our all important Harumphitude Composter – that it composts into nutrient for what we want to grow…
This powerful waxing moon powerful waxing moon because I was talking to one of my teammates before who was feeling like ‘ah!ah!’ and I understand that. But I said ‘if I weren’t an astrologer and I didn’t know The Sky Story I would feel that too – but fortunately we have the description, and the instructions, guiding…’ OK because this is a powerful waxing moon – this time we convene right now – and Mercury Stationing and goes direct tomorrow at 12:33 P.M. Eastern time – so it’s a Stationing: So the description can be – especially Mercury conjoining Uranus and squaring the Moon and everything – it can be like ’ah!ah!’ But what does it want to be? – to avert disaster (against the stars) we gather to con-sider (with the Stars) – so it stationing, to go direct and as a description that can bring up all kinds of things like ‘ah!ah!’
So we also want to compost ‘our five year fear planner’ – the fears we fear that we’re going to fear far into the future – and we go no no throwing that into the compost going into nutrients for something we want to grow!
And it’s tangible – we’re in this Taurus season – like what’s a tangible thing… our whole lives as art.. you know what’s a tangible thing we want to grow or set in motion, in actual molecular reality on this waxing moon right now through May 10th – wooo very powerful – we will delineate the journey.
And also certainly as we honor of cooperators standing by you know – to partner – to partner with forces of animals and plants that we admire that we would like to tease into our own persona. Yes of the badger, the coyote, the Wolf, the ducks are everywhere (somebody {backstage} had ducks everywhere)… a cloak of living ducks, right, so that that which is kind of reactive just flows off our cloaks like water on a duck’s back (QuackQuackQuackquackquackquack)
So that we have access to many many different kinds of responses… there we go. And (as we mentioned just now backstage to our backstage) in our magic backpack let’s look – there’s a bottle for everybody – everybody’s got a bottle of All Cool Out Lavender Mist (Spritz spritz spritz) To cool out hot circumstance around the world… in Portland Oregon, and South Africa, everywhere, because there is you know there’s a lot going on here.
So to keep our perspective we have a little bit of opening from one of my favorite movies in the world Baba Aziz the prince who contemplated his soul and we’ll listen to a little bit of that in a moment – because it’s a it’s a great movie, again one of my favorites in all the world, one of the best soundtracks in all the world, and it begins… it’s about a Sufi gathering that was created by international groups of Sufi’s… Many profound things… and it begins with blind grandfather leading his granddaughter through the desert and she said grandad are we lost? And he says Those with dedicated hearts are never lost, my child. Like wooo it is going to be good, going to be good. And it takes us into many realms and it takes us into a realm of transcending the fear of death, there we go…

I had a wonderful client today who was talking about… ahh What’s the word what’s the word I forgot the word …anyway something called? alorexia? doesn’t sound like a good thing but it’s about ‘equity about all things – a big large perspective…’

And what that music does – that’s the gathering from all the directions and from every moment in time of all the beings going to the Sufi celebration of life. So everybody, all the flora fauna, everybody, there we go for our perspective.
Description and Instructions… and remember you know our quirky experiment here… trickster older than humans, now an evolutionary assist partner, and how does trickster do things that are unexpected and not snookered into predictable reaction, spirals out of polarity… there we’ve go… And that’s what we can do with our lavender mist going ‘with all opposition…’{cooling down}….
And we saw it with Rebecca’s scouting report from Sad turbulence and poisoning, with tear gas, in Portland – but we reach into our magic backpacks for stories again Jupiter stories it’s retrograde – So we’re remembering everything that was ever useful and I do remember… In moments of you know police and demonstrator potential confrontations… So there’s a wonderful book called “Power Game” by Perry Henzell {https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/1935953.Perry_Henzell} who wrote “The Harder They Come” Jamaican writer. And in it you know – it’s about how you need a very broad team – if you’re if you’re a Jamaica and you’re going to have a Democratic rising up and rousing and overthrowing of tyranny, you need the Rastas, and the Sacrament, and you need somebody there, and you need you need somebody inside the police, and somebody inside the State Department is going to call off the American invasion…. you need a very broad allies – and right now we’re in the synchronous time of being able to connect with everything and we remember our our aspirational practice – that we speak to that in another that we want to invite to dance with the corresponding part of ourselves – so allies are abounding. And kerfuffles are to remind us of like oh well what do we need then. So we need a broad game, a broad game…
And so some some years back there was a big demonstration at the World Bank …and a couple of things, one is The World Bank in D.C. had built a giant incredibly expensive barbed wire fence, and so it first all of the protesters, and yes some of the alleged-anarchists (I want to defend true Anarchism) but alleged-anarchists you know people with black masks want to provoke things… and so everybody was like “oh boo the fense – boo the fense” and I and another person, you know again inviting in trickster, said you know “humans – let’s not worship a fence – let’s thank the World Bank for building this fence to protect us from them and let’s turn our backs to this fence, and talk about what we really want to talk about…” which is then what happened. And there were… my friend Mary, Redwood Mary {http://redwoodmaryncalifornia.blogspot.com/}, was there and there were you know black masked alleged-anarchists going ‘RaraRa!’ but she was very good again at stepping in and conversing there and cooling it out …she apparently had her lavender mist, boundaries *with respect* with respect… so that was interesting.
But before the World Bank thing, I was giving a pretty rousing large talk in D.C. talking about collaborating across borders, like we do, and at the end of it I woman came up and said “You know I love your work, and I really want to talk to you… Can I talk to you later?” I’m like “sure!” and she went away. She came back ten minutes later and said, “I went home, and turned around, and decided if all the lights were green I would talk to you.” and I go “good – what’s up?” and she says “well, I love your work, I am a student Shamanism, and I am a policewoman, and I’m in charge of the park police liaison to the F.B.I. in charge of security around the World Bank protest…” and at first I had a little paranoid freefall like ‘oo-hoo-whaa?..wha..ooo OK Trickster calls bluff.’ Trickster calls bluff. And I go ‘well OK let’s let’s convene.’ So we did. And her story was intriguing. The way she told it was, ever since she was a little girl she always loved animals, always loved animals, always did road kill ceremony, when she found an animal beside the road, anyway… So she was named ‘policewoman of the year’ because she killed a man, who had killed.. who was trying to kill her partner.. and she said that she didn’t mind killing the man, but she knew that some part of her had left – with that man. And that deepened her study of Shamanism, that when you kill somebody part of you goes away with them, it’s an interesting thought.
And then once she began to study Shamanism more deeply all kinds of synchronous paths opened up and she said that she was called into a particularly brutal murder on a Indian reservation.. quirkily called in.. you know just it wasn’t even her department called him. And a man had been beheaded. With gunfire – it was very brutal. On the way there, she saw a hawk by the side of the road and she stopped to do ceremony for it ..and she noticed that it had been beheaded.. So she was very sorry, she apologized to the hawk. And when she got to the crime scene that had been trampled over by F.B.I. and all kinds of things that, she saw a hawk feather, and she reached down and under the hawk feather was a shell casing that solved the whole case. And another many other things like that.
So, What happened around the World Bank thing was: we made contact you know and I had her phone number and everything, so when the police moved in with tear gas, and also they confiscated all of the puppets – the giant puppets that had been made – And they took them to a warehouse and I called Kathy on the phone. And I go ‘Teargas! For no reason.’ and they confiscated the puppets – This is First Amendment rights!’ and she said ‘You’re right give me a half hour ‘ and I go, ‘OK’ And then she called back in a half hour and she said ‘turn on the T.V.’ – I turned on the T.V. and there was the mayor on the T.V. announcing the release of the puppets with the release of these giant puppets going ‘this is First Amendment rights – the police were mistaken – and the police had to carry the puppets giant puppets out of the warehouse… but they were so large that the only way the police could get them out of the warehouse was to wear them right so the police had to wear the giant World Bank thing, and the giant Moose, and the giant whatever it was, they had to animate the puppets – and it was just a it was a glorious moment in which actually the police were kind of humbled, but then kind of found it witty…
And I just want to put this on our work table here – as we are dedicated to not being snookered – so, as with Perry Hanzell, it’s good to have a contact, good to have a contact, and then we went on… I haven’t seen her in a while but we keep meaning to. I think I told you all before that… Well well part of that was interesting too because went to a big meeting and Starhawk {http://starhawk.org/} and it was a big thing and and even Starhawk, whom I love increasingly for her dedicated wonderfulness, but it was very oppositional talking going ‘the police! and the thing!’ and Kathy said ‘well I’m just I’m disappointed in this in this meeting tonight because it’s so oppositional’ and I go ‘right, we’ll see what we can do’ and ‘Let’s have a meeting with Starhawk. You me and Starkhawk.’ And then I go ‘Starhawk, want to meet a cop?’ and she’s like ‘Bleh-ergha well OK’ So we were looking for a place to meet, just the three of us, to see what we could work out magically. And the only place that was open on U Street, 14th and U, was a coffee shop named Utopia so we go into Utopia and I have a map of D.C. and the policewoman, Starhawk is still pretty ‘Graaraha – police – bad.’ ‘Well ok’ And then Cathy the policewoman said what they were worried about, and Starhawk said what she was worried about, and they were like OK …And so we put on the map of D.C. and a little bits of cornmeal and sprayed some lavender mist to cool things out, to do that, and then I said well let’s just you know put our hands on the map and and intend this, and and we go mmmhmmmzmm. You know one of those things where you’re doing a little meditation and you think ‘this is quite enough’ and I opened my eyes, but they were both of them were just deep into it, just mmnumnumnum and there were other people in the coffee shop, but they were not self-conscious they were like really into it like mmnumnumnum. And then they both kind of came out of it, and Starhawk looked at policewoman and me and was like ‘Wow. That was really cool.’ Because it was – I mean you could feel it – like it was, you can feel like when something is real, it’s like ‘whoa – that was real’ …it started off like many rituals start off kind of hokey, or like ‘oh OK’ and then it was like woooahh.
And it reminds us again we can start off hokey but it’s like the gods (or whatever metaphor we want to use) are like ‘Oh those humans, they’re kind of hokey.. but they put enough energy in, so we’ll make it real.’
I’ve been involved in a number of rituals that part of me was like ‘ahh this is cheesy… This is uhhh.. Oh!’ and then there’s a moment – where it becomes real. And so we want to put this in our magic backpack; going, well we start.. we start.. and then something! Because remember in part of our Trickster Dynamic – especially in this Venusian season – we’re in High Season – High Beltane – that we want to honor, is about ‘when we don’t know what to do invite in Trickster, that does know what to do’
And it’s like, it was it was very Trickster, that you know, you do the next thing in the scavenger hunt, going, ‘well call the play person you know to call’ and go ‘This is no – this is against First Amendment rights – and this was..” I think even apologized for the tear gas going ‘Oh we don’t know what happened’ you know whatever you know… Call In – but it was Tricksters’ particularly witty thing to have the cops have to wear the puppets out of the warehouse, that was just such a fantastic sight – it was like it was a Tarot Card.
And so to kind of put this into our Magic Backpack, our repertoire, of seeing – seeing the cops as a giant duck or a giant muskrat or a giant puppet or whatever …and it’s also part of the visualizing visualizing – if somebody gets our goat, or somebody is behaving really badly, or somebody you know stuck in an immature label of white supremacist/white power – Tight Shower! White Shower! {playing with words} – To see behind them of their own better selves – I am partial to animals myself – to see a giant Crow going ‘there you go, come this way, you don’t know what you’re – doing snap out of it snap out of it’ …Or anything that we want to kind of play with – truly the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
So so we want a broad team, and we’re available – and it can be telepathic as well – adopt a police person in your back stage realm, and wishing them well – wishing them change of heart. Because it’s so crucial now – “Story, story, invite to a better story.” And I remember from early protests days as a teenager, anit-war Vietnam all those things it was very much you know oppositional protesters, agent provocateurs and and – remember a person who suggests violence is always the agent provocateur – even if they don’t know they are.
Just a little sidebar over here – hosted on the radio many years ago a wonderful woman who was part of Earth First, and the F.B.I. had targeted them – even to the point of noticing and customizing the kind of man she would like. And they sent a F.B.I. guy who was customized to be the undercover person and to become her lover – they would they would do these things – and he loved country dancing, and he loved this kind of thing, and that they customized this partner for her… she only found out later going ‘wow.’ And it was him that suggested, like, ‘you guys, why don’t you just take down the power lines, it’s not enough to just you know do a protest’ And they were like, ‘well I don’t know, oh okay..’ And they got busted and they did serious jail time. And talking to her on the radio, we just established some crucial trickster guidelines – which is why I said the alleged-anarchists you know again tantrum yoga, trust fund black mask, whatever – but we still want to talk to them too..
Conflagration – the old fashioned definition of activist, which has very little spirit to it. I run into you know Code Pink people, young people all kind of love our mythic approach and what I’m up to… but the old guard (bless their hearts) but they’re like ‘No we’re activists! and we went to Standing Rock!’ and are like ‘What is all this bleeping ceremony about!? we’re activist! you know we you know fight! and we do that thing!’ and we go and ‘mmm No listen to Standing Rock…’ ‘Like it was very hard for us – because we’re activists – you know we don’t do ceremony!’ And it’s like ‘Well that’s why we are the wedding of the animism and activism… easy easy…
But I remember – back in the old days – it was very very much set up like the you know children’s game Red Rover Red Rover can so and so come over – Rarwarararwrar… and even the flower in the gun was a little bit kind of provocative – just a little bit condescending – a little bit you know we’re hip and you’re not… Anyway so all of these things that we want to play with.. There’s a kind of Entheo-teacher, said – my favorite thing that he ever said – was, somebody asked him, ‘What’s your definition of maturity?’ and he said, ‘To have access to all of one’s resources.’ And I go well that’s pretty good, that’s a pretty good Saturn definition, we will work with it.
So all of our resources – to have access to all of our resources – and that’s part of why we’re gathering here, who brought what, and also what’s the sky story and what is available and how can we be influential – in a spiraling way, and effective even at a distance…
I remember Larry Dossey, Dr Larry Dossey {http://www.dosseydossey.com/larry/default.html}, kind of proving the efficacy of prayer over people who were in intensive care at San Francisco General – and he did pretty much prove it: that people prayed over (who didn’t even know they were prayed over) did better! [Last vestige of cough – I’m almost better. Pretty much getting there in the right direction] But he found two crucial principles (one) people prayed over did much better. Distance didn’t matter – it didn’t matter if you were right beside somebody’s bed or a thousand miles away… We’re in a non-local realm of Trickster-Uranus Telepathic Dynamic so you can be right there, or remote – it’s all intimate – it’s all Venusian Intimate.
…And this is something we can put in our pipes and smoke, because we take everything as a guideline, but what he found was Non-Specificity was also better than specificity – it was better to give somebody ‘general good will’ than to pray for their spleen – going ‘good will good will good will.’ And also free good will, ‘Our preference is for you to come back into life and into your body you know but.. But here – here’s this abundance of Jupiterian Good Will – Do with it what you will!’ – Autonomy is a sacrament, we say.
So in the same way, you know as we think of hot spots in the world non-locality doesn’t matter because we’re all in this dream together, and non-specificity (this is according to everybody – sometimes we might want to be specific you know we just consider everything) but general goodwill is always a good idea, and inviting in trickster again – whatever is truly best for everyone here – come on in! ‘come on in’ as part of our dynamic.
So yes so here we are – it’s May Day! It’s May Day! So of course that’s why the kerfuffle or the whatever however we want to relate to it in Portland Oregon (and probably undoubtedly many places) and Trump had tried to declare May 1st as ‘national loyalty day’ and we go – no no it’s already booked it’s already booked …first long before it was labor rights – but we like the activism and animism, we want to truly wed it – that international Labor Day be wedded to Beltaine. The Climate March was pretty great you know on the kind of Beltane Eve – really good. You know other things are lined up this are wonderful conference in Washington, in which a study has come out that (you know it seems like we’re proving common sense) but but it’s a Conference on how treating animals well improves human health and we go OK yes but there but it’s kind of wonderful that they’re holding that I think I’ll go – on Wednesday the Full Moon Taurus in Scorpio which is all about incarnational sensuality and kinship with everything – it’s the Buddha’s Full Moon – it’s when the Buddha is born, the Buddha’s birthday, and mythologically it’s when the Buddha attained enlightenment with his back pressed against the bodhi tree. Even Buddhism, with all of its quirky and beautiful abstractions, knows that nobody gets enlightened without nature – nobody gets enlightened without their back against the tree. So it’s also called Wesack it it’s a big powerful full moon and for bonus points it’s a Mercury-Uranus conjunction – that day – Mercury forward motion will come back into this week a moment – but but we’re all in this waxing full moon – it’s a tide of Animism, again Cooperators are standing by: what plants, what things, what do we want to you know invite in, whatever’s truly best in any circumstance come on in, come on in….
Venus opens the Beltane garden door (oh and Eryn did such a beautiful job I sent her some of the pictures but she filled in some wonderful ones – what a great Beltane garden door! beautiful) beckoning us to enter as a perpetual trickster refuge of replenishment which we inaugurate this week – or let inaugurate this week.
In our journey of Trickster Training we’ve created different places, periodically, and then kind of forgotten about them… and then we re-animate them. But we have The Pub of the Hurling Coyote right which is the underworld pub where you just go to release and purge going ‘bleeeah!’. In keeping with Stella coyote who once healed herself by a very elaborate purging ritual of digging a triangular pit and hurling into it and then dancing covering it up and dancing on top of it and then drinking her own pee – and then she was completely fine – anyway so we had The Pub of the Hurling Coyote – that’s that’s good, in the tradition of mystery schools of creating a place that we all begin to animate as a refuge – but even more than that, you know it’s creating – remember the Kabalists always said that ‘an image in our mind is made of molecules as much as this table.’ And a clear mental image tends to materialize as an actual condition or event. So it’s also animating, feeding, the desirable and the beautiful – garden realm, the beautiful world – because then on the Full Moon (and periodically too) – we’re going to invite the molecules of that beautiful ideal world to suffuse (what we laughingly call or sometimes not always laughing) the real world going, come on in molecules.
It’s like in many Buddhist sutras – There’s a fantastic description of Paradise and it’s really great and there’s you know tasteful incense (not coconut) wafting through everything…. you know and then the very last part of the Sutra says, “And that is where you are now – can you can you dig?” Can you suffuse the molecules of paradise, into the molecules… can you invite them in, where they’re always interwoven but we don’t see them. So this is part of our kind of reversal magic so…

You know the gateway leads to Beltane – which is exact May 4th – and I did actually find the exact moment of Beltane… Maybe you know well the ancient probably did do this actually… Beltane: one of the four cross quarter holidays (Halloween – Candlemas, I like calling it Candlemas – Beltane or May Day – and Llamas). They are rounded off, like October 31st and May Day, but they’re always when the sun is at 15° of the fixed sign of that season. And these are called the four gates of power where the animating intelligence of that season is especially eager to be invited into the world – it’s powerful – again Buddha’s enlightment, well it happens to Buddha’s enlightenment happening right after that.
So I did I did the Chart going (with the help of computers and again the ancients probably could figure this out) but Exact True Beltane – when the Sun arrives at 15° Taurus zero zero – will be Friday May 5th at 3:20 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time in America… you know figure out, 12:20 in California and in our team mates will figure out where it is in South Africa – there we go. But it’s um. It’s pretty great you know and again because it is the Power of the Season and at three twenty A.M.. Outside Washington D.C. Saturn will be visible straight up overhead, where it is now, same degree at the ancient bridge degree (going, building bridges, building bridges, we are here to build bridges, not walls) and to invite – again the Venus dynamic – to invite the best out of people… to speak to that part of them.
Also from the sacred teachings of Law and Order Criminal Intent, one of the great moments. Where Bobby was kind of like a Jungian cop – who feels his way into the dynamic of others and then goes there – ‘..and now you’re busted!’ But my favorite one was, there was one about Truly evil illegal detention centers for Arab Americans in this country – it was a very profound episode – and Bobby and his cohorts have discovered it, they’re in the prison they discovered this bad thing… and the prison guard is running the thing, locks the doors behind them, and comes forward with his henchmen, and they’ve got their sticks right… and they’re there they’re going to harm and kill these these guys… and Bobby who has done his research – research – steps up to one of the guards who’s in threatening violent way, and says, ‘you – you sing in your church choir don’t you?’ ‘yeah..’ and ‘you went to law school and is this what you went to law school for?’ he goes right inside… and the guy puts down his weapon. And then he goes to the next guy and he goes ‘and you you take care of your grandmother don’t you?’ and it’s really good. And that’s part of our, ‘and you – you know you did this…’
We know the story about ‘we’ve got to change the story’ but I’ve also talked to a woman at Bioneers who was El Salvadorian… but she was she was kidnapped by a death squad and they had killed many many people and she, even through the black masks, she recognizes some of these people as young people that she saw growing up and she and she said (without an agenda) but she goes ‘I know you, and I understand why you think you have to kill me..’ and they engaged in a conversing right and the guy again put his weapon down and said ‘I don’t know..’
There’s a number of these right – they are against all odds – but they stand out. We are always at a better advantage when we are defining the desirable.
