The Moon be translating the Light from Friday’s
powerful Full Moon in Taurus
that our dedication to the earth now be translated into
being her story-tellers, that we remember that
small things have a big effect.
Here is Maxima Acuna, whom I saw, met, at the Goldman Environmental Awards last week, a tiny Peruvian woman farmer, standing defiant, against all odds, to protect the lagoon and land, that gives her life. Her tiny plot of land was in the way of a giant destructive foreign mining project. All of the goventment’s and corporations’ armies and legal systems were arrayed against her. And, against all odds – she prevailed, through dedication and story.
“At the forefront of the local resistance was Máxima Acuña de Chaupe, a 47-year-old grandmother who lives off a plot of farmland in Peru’s northern Cajamarca region, an area that would have been used by Newmont to drain a nearby lake to collect mining byproducts.
Having secured a victory, Acuña said she has just one more wish: “I want to return to the peaceful life I had on my land with my family for almost 20 years.”
The Venus-Uranus-Eris conjoining encourage the feisty,
protector of life, artist of change in all of us.
When we are willing to ally with the Trickster force of Nature
– then we live as though all desirable is possible.
We stand before the Gateway to the Garden of All Desirable Things.
I will be journeying home tonight during our usual time of convening, so no call tonight, but plenty of well-wishing..
