Waxing Lunar Eclipse
When the Sun projects the Earth’s shadow onto the Moon,
We see shadow…the collective sees what it had not –
until now…
Traditionally a time of profound magic (had been used for bad magic, “as the Moon is eclipsed, so may my enemies…” never turns out well…)
So we eclipse the up-to no-good…
And let’s eclipse addiction to having an enemy, right out of the human repertoire…
by participating in the good…
Dedicated to collective well-being…
The chart for tonight, waxing Moon in Pisces (“aviator, master of the high realms sails across the skies, setting in motion projects that will benefit the next 7 generations”) is so heartening…..
We can all see Moon with Saturn tonight (as it was exactly when Michelle Obama spoke at DNC, last full Moon)
Saturn quintiles Uranus – portals open for our dedication to the land…partnering with all we love, that we may be cultural agents on behalf of Flora Fauna Fungi…
The Sun is at a degree of grief and mourning to honor all subject to humanity’s cruel carnage….
To toss our own befoiblements, and humanity’s tyranny into the eclipse cauldron…

Wamakaskan is often mistranslated as “animals.” The word means “living beings of the earth,” and it includes the ikce wicasa oyate, the Human Nation. Oyate, “nation,” doesn’t have political implications like English “nation.” It refers to beings that are alike: they have a spirit, a life, a mind, and a language, in the same way as the ikce wicasa. “Animal” is a poor translation because it distinguishes between humans and the rest of Creation. It creates a hierarchy, an assumption that contradicts the Lakota belief system. In Lakota, we are related to all Creation. We are all part of the wamakaskan oiyate. Consequently we are all equally important. If anything, I, as a man, must practice humility toward the rest of Creation.
