My beloved father, who was committed to be a T***p voter, died two days before the 2016 election. This election night is hard. And yet, an extraordinary blessing: When he died we tossed yellow roses into Lake Ontario. And when my daughter and I walked to the Pacific Ocean this last weekend we found a dozen yellow roses washed up from an earlier ritual. My daughter made a beautiful installation of them in the tide, and we talked with my late Dad through the veil while many people walked through the roses as the sun set. May all our father energies turn towards such healing.

AH!!! I just heard the news. I was walking with a dear friend, with clippers in hand to cut back the wild rose, greenbriar, and euonymous on the path. she brought her phone and was getting “pinged” by friends. We went to a grassy area and we danced. We went to the water and waded, throwing stones of gratitude into the water. I picked up a black feather, and a mugwort leaf, several sticks (maple? wild cherry?) and some clear and colored quartz. Laid them all on my rock circle in gratitude. So happy that Biden has won. This precious moment of relaxation from the seemingly endless trauma of the former presidency. Still holding on to my image of Biden on inauguration day in January. <3
