We journey through a great opportune time for releasing: (fill in the blank…priming the pump with for instances – releasing barriers to the desirable, worry, anxiety, the myriad forms of complicity with grumpitude etc.)

it is now time to plant the seeds of the desirable…getting the mix right between security and adventure.

Now is the Dark of Moon to New Moon in Virgo  early on September 8th
(the 2nd of 3 Super-Moons, meaning very close to earth…more pull)

The New Moon makes no aspects to other planets: we are free to unspool…release and rededicate.

The ” ruler” of Virgo, Mercury, stations retrograde to direct (on September 12th)

This is Hermes- who gives us Alchemy and ritual magic -reminding us that the focused mind creates wholeness, aka the Philosopher’s Stone.
Hermes is also considered the god of Luck – luck derived from pluck, in which “hard luck” is “good luck” in disguise, as well as the messenger of the gods, and the guide of souls to the Underworld
To the ancients “silence in the midst of conversation signalled the arrival of Hermes…and whatever words broke the silence were considered significant.”
Fun to contemplate.
The conversational lull is an opportunity for the oraculor and/or the dead to speak…
In the midst of the collective confused cacophany…..shhhhhhh…..something surprising and needed wants to be heard

Virgo is also depicted as Isis, animated this week, holding sheaves of wheat while pouring forth the waters of life (and the dedicated ruler of Washington D.C. more imminent tales to tell.)

Venus at last degree of Libra on New Moon,
in shadow of her retrograde, retrograde Oct 8th at 14 Scorpio, will return to 28 Libra, trining Neptune, dream conjuring, opening channels for the surprising desirable to enter the personal and collective inter-woven realms.

Ally astrologer Cathy Pagano writes: “What you think you want now might not be what you want by November 18^th.  Keep working on listening to your heart and start removing the barriers that hold your heart’s truth hostage.  Venus’ retrograde through Scorpio will strip us bare and kill off what’s dead.  What survives will be beautiful, true and unique to your soul’s mission in the coming years.”

Jupiter will retrograde back into Pisces a few hours after this new Moon as well. Jupiter, the energy of curiosity and expansion, faith and optimism raced through Pisces from January 17, 2010 to June 5, 2010, when it entered Aries along with Uranus. But it will now retrograde back through 24* Pisces and stay there until January 22, 2011, when it once again enters Aries. We still have some learning to do about compassion and faith – both for the world and for ourselves.
