Romancing the Earth

The Ascendant’s image : “A Treasure chest over-flowing with Brilliant Jewels.” assures us of mythological funding.

What energetic qualities want to be cultivated to navigate the wildly fluctuating field of now? Certainly, we add to our repertoire the ability to step into the calm center, directing the winds of wild story, rather than buffeted by them. When we then emerge we ride the tide with equanimity. Opportunities for practice abound.

Saturn journeys past it’s defining square to Pluto, Uranus-Jupiter, “Oh, yes, you feel it, how the weights on you are gone,” chimes in Rilke.
Even Pluto’s forward motion – sufficient cataclysm in his wake – reminds us that some seeds only bloom after catastrophe. Some qualities only come alive after returning from the Underworld. Inanna becomes cultural Trickster Redeemer after her round-trip ticket to Hades. Compassionate Ingenuity quickens after an arduous journey. First the adventure one wouldn’t have consciously chosen earns expensive wisdom. Then we have sufficient incentive and synchronous opportunities whereby to consciously choose the next wild ride. Like Inanna we earn the quality of liberating bravado..
Cyclical Cataclysm reminds us – there will be more. So let’s dust off Gandalf’s phrase. “The tide has turned. The Great Storm is coming but the tide has turned.”
The old structures are energetically over. Just how much molecular collapse can be prevented, pain alleviated, is part of our collaborative assignment. Let’s play with every potential disappointment as a liberating opportunity. (no tantrum yoga).
