Diving for Deep Playful Serenity-

Repairing to Replenishing Reverie cultivating the calm of ancient inward serenity under modern turbulence.

Nourishing Now: remember reverie: the wonderful joy of diving into water! diving into replenishing realm of old stories.

 

We engage in Cultivating Care at the beginning of this new season: delicate transitions to powerful times, time in water to restore health and humor.

Honoring the Cancerian realm of the cool stomach…soothing drinks…Waters of life within and without.

The Sun illuminating the realm of Cancerian culture is backed up by Jupiter in the last degree of Gemini, reminding us to pack humor as we dive for our vast vacance, (infinity available) in a minute.

(I am reading, and will report on, a splendid little book, “Stop Me If You’ve Heard This – a History and Philosophy of Jokes,” by Jim Holt.

 

Nat Shmulowitz, collector of humorous ephemera, gave his vast collection to the San Francisco public library: Schmulowitz Collection of Wit and Humor, is free to the public and possibly the largest collection in the world. He called jokes “the small change of history.” They have “detected and exposed the imposter and have saved man from the oppression of false leaders.”

Jupiter loves stories, Cancer loves history…

 

So we shall also delve into the “Pancha Tantra,” which is the oldest known frame story collection in the world of wit and guiding wisdom…

Even (Jupiter inconjunct) the most serious Moon in Capricorn at 25+ degrees (My Ascendant, Barack Obama’s Saturn) is: “Radiant Water Sprite Dances on the Mists of a Waterfall.”

Max Beerbohm wrote that love is the physical moving to the mental, whereas laughter is the mental moving to the physical…which is fun to contemplate…Laughter to be encouraged.

Schmulowitz rejoined: “Without humor we are doomed.”
