Strong Enough to Be Gentle

We are liberating- honoring Positive Mars (un-locked by Uranus’ jail key , no longer imprisoned in servitude to the unimaginative confines of war.)

Co-Operators are Standing By! The Mythos of March

 

Let’s avert disaster by gathering to consider.
(*etymologically “dis”= “against”, “aster” = “stars.” “Con”= “with,”     “sider” = “the stars.”)

At this time of Vernal Equinox (let all be equal! Night and Day, Mars and Venus, humans and all our relations!)
people have gathered throughout time to invite the literal and symbolic light of the Sun to illumine the poem-painting at the back of the cave. Come on in power and illumine and animate this story!
In some dark cave of our hearts, let’s delineate a dedicated, devotional desire.

The month of March is named after Mars, the Intelligence of Desire, the woofy vitality to emerge from Winter’s dormancy. Oft in fairy tales we emerge, set forth, then follow an iron ball, a Mars symbol, as it rolls to the center of all things, the fairy realm. We come into dynamic equinoctial balance. Since everything revolves around the center of gravity, the fairy realm contains the secrets of planetary orbits, the ordered dance of the spheres. Thus desire brings us into sync with the rhythm of the cosmos and makes us its heroic agents. Available for animation now!

If the world is being destroyed by hyper-yang uninitiated Mars death frenzy, then the antidote is at hand. Tis Venus that initiates Mars, as an agent of Green Fire, to protect life, animate kinship, cultivate beauty. We can now see the courtship of Venus and Mars in the Western sky after sunset. Venus and Mars have a daughter, Harmonia, to whom they bestow the baton of cultural leadership.

All the players are quickening within us all. (regardless of our extremely temporary age, race and gender assignment) and are enthused to join in the Big Dance- the 7th of 7 Pluto-Uranus squares (resonating back to their 1960’s conjunction. “History doesn’t repeat itself – but it rhymes, “ quipped Mark Twain.)

Pluto provides a cauldron into which we can toss – o, so many destructive delusions. For starters how about “humanism,” humans as the measure of all things…May the hubris of humanism be composted into nutrient for the truth of animism, everything’s alive and worthy of respect.

Magic is simply a willingness to cooperate with everything.

We do not need more “power,” but to engage the considerable powers we have always had, like Dorothy’s slippers. We have always had the power of the dedicated heart.

When someone says to Terry Pratchett’s fantabulous character, Granny Weatherwax, “You can’t do that, the odds are a million to one.” She smiles, with a smile that would have garnered respect from wolves, and says, “Million to one chances crop up nine times out of ten – when your heart is dedicated.” “Grrrr…Woof.”

Spring invites us to rejoin the choreography of creation, by letting Nature’s genius lead us out of the disaster of dominance to a Renaissance of Reverent Ingenuity Rising from the Rubble.
It behooves us to animate the desirable opportunities being so generously proffered to us,lest we leave them by default to the dementors of doom…(lest we forget: G W Bush – began the bombing of Iraq on the Vernal equinox, Persian New Year, the day sacred to all life.)

Trickster says inward dedication magnetizes outward opportunity. May we all be spiraled into cahooting accord, where we can do the most good, while having the most creative High Jinx fun.

As troubadour Trickster ally David Grimes oft quips: “If we’re not having fun – we’re just not serious enough.”
