Yo Team,
feels good to gather tonight
in deep slow way
to be remembering
what we must not forget…
That all stories guide us to all stories…
May 31st, 1921 Tulsa white mob
abetted by police who deputized
and further armed them/it.
Mob mind, feeding on cruelty,
intent on destroying Community Goodness
in all realms, cultural and natural….
and you know how I like to re-frame
“trauma,” as “my dangerous,
beautiful assignment.”
Sometimes gotta wait for it –
but opportunity to proffer Medicine
to someone in similar circumstance
oft arrives…
Redemption lies in brewing
Medicine for others.
Yet, some trauma,
Tulsa May 31st 1921
be so egregiously horrific,
compounded by its suppression
and on-going tyrannical injustice…
and so completely urgently relevantly
resonant with the danger of now…
Until Now –
that we come to understand
that all Trauma is the task of all of us…
All of our dangerous, beautiful assignment…
Mob Mind has been intent
on murdering Community:
Greenwood area of Tulsa,
District Six in Cape Town,
May 31st murderous Israeli attack,
in international waters
on the 6 boats of the Peace Flotilla,
bringing relief to Gaza
(See Midnight on the Mavi Marmara)
…on and on..
backwards and forward,
but honoring Tulsa now- onward,
may hold a key to all the others…

Natural environment everywhere –
and those who protect
the planetary community…
Time to compost
the murderous mob mind,
trampling on Beauty –
the War on Life,
so that it no longer exists
in the repertoire of humanity…

Fast Forward from Tulsa to Now: I just read about LeBron James’ good works “changing Hollywood and Wall Street”through his “Springhill Company” (named after the projects he grew up in)…”that empowers communities and is built for the future” :)))
so…. our modern athletic/celebrity ‘heroes’ have potential to inspire and elevate us above the mob mind into authentic, ‘FAN’-tastic life affirming nature and community, yes 🙂 ?
Walt Whitman’s readings and reference to sixties sensibilities…remind me of attendance at good ‘ol Grateful Dead live shows 🙂
