the quality of messages we would like to engage,

Sorcery – by hungry ghost of hatred…

 

Withdrawing complicity from sorcery, 

exhaling into calm…

 

 

The Taoist is riding a wild white yeti…

(a great image, of our super calm, boundaried, 

self, safe enough to be effectively compassionate, 

riding our mighty Dream Animal)

 

At the Detective Dee finale, 

the Taoist Master, confronting 

the murderous men-demons says:

 

“Life is Infinite and Precious. 

Why would we allow hatred to contaminate it?”

 

“The hatred is endless. Once you unleash that demon – 

it’s always with you. There’s no escaping it.”

 

Bad Guy unleashes weapons, 

Taoist calmly deflects all attacks.

 

Then Bad Guy unleashes, “weapon from hell,” – 

metal cage, that encircles the Taoist’s head. 

 

Then, aha!, one encircles 

the villain’s head as well.

 

 

 

Taoist responds:

 

“Inner demons urge us to kill.

Expel them from our hearts 

and the weapon will fall open.”

 

Repeating as a chant….

 

All the demons, and chief bad guy, 

fall to their knees, in liberated redemption.

 

Taoist again says to ally-hero:

“Hell is full of suffering souls,

 

So enlightenment must wait.

Forgive me for being late.

Accept my respect.”

 

(Even Taoists can be late.)

 

 

And an ancient e-mail arose 

out of the midden heap, with this 

thematically resonant communique:

 

A man approached the gate of an unfamiliar city. 

As he reached the gate a magician standing there said 

“Wait! You shouldn’t go in there without a weapon! 

Demons lurk there!”

 

The man said “I need no weapon and 

have nothing to do with demons.”

 

The magician drew a sword from the sheath he held; 

as he drew it a frightful demon appeared, 

but the magician was able to kill it with the sword.

 

“Now will you take a weapon?!?”, 

he said, but the man still refused. 

 

“Are you blind?”, said the magician, 

“Do you see the sword I drew killed the demon?”

 

“Are you blind?” the man responded, 

“Do you not see that the sword you drew 

created the demon?” 

 

And he walked on into the city, 

armed only with the clarity of his mind and being.
