forgiveness allows us to sever our energy connection with those we feel have wronged us. When I have attained the ability to forgive, I have felt great liberation. Great gratitude for my ability to forgive (when I am able).
Also, right now, I am feeling an immense need for remorse. I can keenly feel the terrible brokenness that can drive us to violence and (as Caroline puts it) the “toxic mimic” of power. My heart hurts with fellow feeling towards the profound weakness and estrangement that leads one of us to wage war?
If we think about forgiveness and possibly activating the healing power of forgiveness on behalf of those that are too engulfed in this war to have any ability of forgive, can we also perform healing by activating our own remorse on behalf of the aggressor ?Can we bring healing by each taking on the burden of a small part of this terrible shadow–the shadow of the warmonger–and though our own remorse possibly begin to dismantle and process this darkness?
