Our Moon says:
“Through Imagination –
Lost Opportunity is re-gained”
(here’s that “take heart!”degree again – Stacey Abram’s Mars, the Rising degree of last week’s radio show… generally suffusing the atmosphere, as remedy to whatever ails us)
even in the face of Death…
“keeping our small boats afloat-
when so many have gone down in the storm.” (From Robert Bly)

working with the Beautiful Dangerous Useful Pluto…
*So oft this wondrous astro*mytho language is not so much for prognostication, as post-gnostication… the framing of our assignment, revealing its patterned wit, it’s daunting beguiling invitation to play…

My ascendant (* Eryn’s Sun) is 25+Capricorn…
So, last week’s food poisoning, now witty, thanks to postgnostication,
purging,
of course.
And this week’s Underworld Spa Service is colonoscopy
(Sure, let’s empty everything out – and take a deep look, at what is usually not seen…
In the last week I have had dental ex-rays, mammogram, cat had an ultra sound today, I scheduled Cat Scan,
and should probably get the car serviced…inch by inch…)

Honoring the Dead
So many unique culturally contributing humans spiraling to the exit today, yesterday, as this perilous year spirals to a close (where it is good to remember those qualities of humans that inspire us, make us proud, rather than ashamed.)
Joanne Shenandoah, Robert Bly, Malidoma Some’, Manitoba elder Dave Courchene, and a host of worthy beings….
…Stephen Sondheim, Bunny Wailer, Mort Saul…
and Robert Farris Thompson, whose book, “Flash of the Spirit,” has been a long-time companion…

As Farris Thompson said in his story in Rolling Stone, “Those people stand like giants in teaching us how to live. There is a moral voice imbedded in the Afro-Atlantic aesthetic that the West can’t grasp. They don’t see the monuments, just barefoot philosophy coming from village elders.
But the monument is a grand reconciling art form that tries to morally reconstruct a person without humiliating him.”
He continued:
“These are the canons of the cool: There is no crisis that cannot be weighed and solved; nothing can be achieved through hysteria or cowardice; you must wear and show off your ability to achieve social reconciliation. Step back from the nightmare. It is a call for parlance, for congress and for self-confidence.”

and always – Neptunian Nuance:
“a cloud origin story’ when looking up the etymology of the word ‘nuance’ in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. Sometime during the fourteenth to sixteenth centuries, Middle French adapted the Latin word nubes, meaning ‘cloud’, into the word nue. This Middle French word for ‘cloud’ gave rise to the verb nuer, meaning ‘to create shades of colour’ and this in turn evolved into nuance, meaning ‘a shade of colour’. By the late eighteenth century, the English adopted the French word nuance to mean, more generally, ‘a subtle distinction or variation’, which is the definition still in use today. With their delicate shifts of shape and hue, it’s no wonder that clouds should turn out to be the origin of nuance.”

So hearing about your neighbor’s ‘lit’ house being built over the Maypole reminds me of the many springs, sacred sites in the world that were built over by churches, etc. It doesn’t obliterate what lies beneath, only temporarily makes hidden from those whose eyes don’t see …:)
