Available has been my preferred word substitute

for “vulnerable,”which means “woundable.”

(Tis a war word, hence my delight in composting.)

We are invite to proclaim our availability,

to be danced into place, where we can do the most good,

have the most serious fun, and contribute our gifts

in a manner of reciprocal replenishing blessing.

(but I had no idea, the word was so “helpful.”)

avail

“to help, assist; benefit, be for the advantage of;

serve for a purpose,” apparently an Anglo-French

from Latin valere “be strong, be worth.”

We avail ourselves, thus has a deeper meaning,

aligning in order to help, benefit, serve for a purpose

“available” mid-15c., “beneficial,” also “valid, effective,

capable of producing the desired effect,” from avail + -able.
