I remember visiting New Orleans after Katrina,
and absolutely the most effective responders
(providing food, hot showers, clearing
rubble, catalyzing community) were
Right-Wing fundamentalist Evangelicals,
and Lefty-Progressives, permaculture types
from Berkeley etc.
By far the most effective,
and sometimes the only First Responders…
Curious alliances emerge out of emergency,
to transcend polarity, and engage in Mutual Aid.
We know, we do all want to be preparing…
for the enormity of collapse roiling our way…
How can dis-ruption be an ally, if we swoosh…
