Hey everybody! I’m so psyched to be cahooting with you all!!
Wasn’t really expecting to be focusing on astrology right now, but Caroline’s email came at *exactly* the right moment and made me hoot with mirth — thank you Saturn in Pisces!
That inspired me to offer an electional reading for my friend at work who’s trying to move out of her Dad’s and rent a house with her best friend. I know she’s looking for a needle in the haystack, and if I were in her shoes, I’d definitely be honing in on the astrology of it all to give myself the best chance, and I’ve done that enough for myself that I have a process of how to go about it. So I figured I’d offer, and she’s all about it!
Anyway, the reason I’m posting all this is, I was wondering if anybody might be interested in something like a reading practice group? This is the first consult I’ve seriously tried to do for anybody else in a long time, and I think it would be awesome to practice giving my thoughts some hopefully cogent expression on how Bailey and Purdy can work with the gods to do this thing and make it a blessing. And it would be awesome to hear any thoughts you might have as well!
And of course, if anybody else wants to practice turning astrological musings into actual readings, I’d be delighted to be your practice audience too!
In speaking of the “art of grief” (Pluto), I make necklaces in honor of kitties of mine that have passed away. Sometimes there is a photo in a little locket. Sometimes I hear the kitty say from the other side: “I want to go with you when you go here!” and then I wear the necklace and take them along. The only time I really had a magical experience with one of the necklaces was in (no surprise!) New Orleans, when a young lady connected to it completely (this was at the Halloween/Day of the Dead season) and a lovely conversation ensued!

Happy Astrological New Year to everyone! The crocus are starting to pop up and the birds are singing here in Massachusetts where I am and I’m feeling so alive with the Spring Equinox and the New Moon falling on the Zero Aries point. And though the Moon is answering to an (out of bounds )wild card Mars in Gemini that is squaring the Sun, Jupiter and Chiron it just makes it more exciting to see what’s going to happen. In answer to David’s question about starting an Astrology study group… in the spirit of the Aries moment, YES! I am game. I have actually been wanting to join one or start a study group myself for quite awhile. I have been offering readings for a couple of years now but I know this style of collaborative learning would really help advance my studies. I view it like playing tennis with a partner who is a more advanced, it makes you better. I’m not that familiar with Purdy, and though there were Alice Bailey books in my house growing up I must admit they put me sleep when I tried to read them as a teenager. I still have a few of them so maybe should give them another try.
