Inviting the Light of the Trickster Redeemer into our hearts –

and

Spiralling Radiance Forth into the Darkening World.

This is our gift to ourselves and the world, the sine qua non antidote to (what Terry Pratchett terms) the “Cunning Man.”  In “I Shall Wear Midnight,” the young witch Tiffany Achen understands that hatred, envy, resentment. fear, attract the Cunning Man who plays the rough murderous music of the mob. We invite the Light of the Trickster Redeemer into all hearts “tidings of comfort and joy,” that the atmospheric “rough music” may have no purchase in this world.

With one foot in the eternal back-stage, one foot in the mysterious on-stage molecular world of invisible energy animating bodies, We once again “step into the travelling now!” provided by this Trickster New Moon.
Trickster-Uranus, stationing direct, heralds the outward molecular animation of the new story.Mercury stationing retrograde from the 10th to the 30th reminds us there are many details to attend and re-lease as we dive for the Mother of all Winter Solstices, with full moon lunar eclipse on Dec.21st. “The longest night – the wheel is turning – what do we give to the night?!” being the traditional chant, then we say what we want to give back and toss into the fiery light of the new story.”

Mercury-Pluto- North Node Moon Mars (tomorrow) in Capricorn) further emphasize that we tease the story into the molecuar world
All are sextiling, (working collaborative opportunities) with Venus returning with her Scorpio positive sizzle Medicine of her Sabian: “Youth Carries a Lit Candle In a Ritual…melding one’s energies into a deeper matrix. Passing on the light overcoming fears about one’s own fame going out. Feeling of nearness to mysterious forces. Burning away emotional residue.”

My Lily Temple Kitty -is  hanging out in this liminal realm…no rushing the mysterious births and deaths which are the signature of this Seasonal time…focused reverie and infinite compassion for all beings, micro-cosomed into those unique beings with whom we live.

Sunday evening I opened my door as Uranus, the Trickster stationed direct – forward into on-stage molecular animation – wondering in what wonderful portentful way we the New Story that wants to incarnate into us would express itself – to find that my friend, colleague, animal companion and exasperating bete noire Stella Coyote had trashed the place, un-wrapping and shredding anything that looked like a package. At first I was peeved, and great was my wrath. Stella adapted her look of feigned contrition as I grieved over the remains of a box that still said “woof,” on the remaining top. But… among the ruins I found previously un-opened magical presents from a grateful client. “Boundaries in a Bottle,” which I immediately sprayed around Stella , then me.
A sticker that said “We don’t need permission;”
A vial of “Witches, Bitches and Hos: protection, healing, guidance for edge-walkers, shape-shifters, priestesses, workers between the world, sluts and devotees of the goddess.” I took several drops immediately.
A fantabulous “Dirty Tarot, ” in which the author of all these gifts – Dori Midnght, all praise to her, wrote: “I call this deck dirty because it is not in any way ethereal or pure; instead it is a collection of symbols of things we have, touch, desire, or tend to in our messy lives…The world is full of little truths and our lives are rich in surprises and secrets. I believe we can gain insight and request guidance from anything, anytime. Insight is abundant because the stuff of our lives is sacred.”
The first card to tumble forth  was “Grandma’s handbag” – “The warmest best smelling love surrounds you. Emotional preparedness. Equppied with tissues. hard candy, comfort. Bearing gifts of stories. Carrying the tools of the ancestors. Clutching, a little timid, with hands full of ancient wisdom.”
Thank you Dori Midnight coupled with Terry Pratchett’s great book, “I Shall Wear Midnight.”

And then I placed these first presents under the Christmas Tree I had just brought into my home.

And thanked Stella Coyote for her perfect exasperating gift.

Once we cross the threshold of this old year into this new year –  zoom – no telling how fast all could self-assemble.
The trickster part of us is bound by neither orthodoxy nor the compelling illusion of realism
The Winds of Change are Howling 45 mph outside now, my 17 year old Lily Egypto Temple Kitty is dying with mysterious grace on her own mysterious timing.
We’re all betwixt and between in this death of old-birth-of-new time.
We are dedicated to navigating well in this wild field in which we all find ourselves in customized stagings.

Oops Kitty calling – gotta go comfort and attend all that we treasure not to cling or interfere but to bless, tonight and in perpetuity!

p.s. my uncertain journey to SF is shape-shifting and boundarying to much shorter. Out Friday home Monday, I think. I will be giving a talk, open to the public Friday Dec. 10th at CIIS. 7 – 9 p.m. 1453 Mission Street SF 94103 $20.
