And with Pluto retrograde stationing, sludge is stirred up and brought to the surface, providing a wealth of ongoing opportunities for composting grumpitude (which still seems to be slopping over the rim of the compost bucket..in
sneaky splashes of righteous harumph-arumph-arumpha…)
The zone of (Uranus) freedom is the domain where we are re-sponsible for internal equilibrium…”re-laxing our dissatisfaction with circumstance,” which, of course, so often involves others. Rats. Sacred rats! Let’s honor the blessed scavengers: Rats,Vultures, Bacteria, Mushrooms, the Wrathful Dakinis – in order to have an outrageous feast. (“The Wrathful Dakinis laugh and dance as they feast on the painful negativity, that would elicit ‘waily-waily’ from the un-enlightened.”) Goat happily munches the thistles of our dis-content. Literally ruminating on what is more truly the source of our dis-content.)

And wherever we are grumpily appalled is indeed an invitation to become the anti-dote…
Saturn retrograde last degree of mutable Virgo (inconjunct Sun at last degree of Aries) can make us irritably thin skinned as a procrastination distraction away from our actual work. Sneaky.
(I found myself internally harumphing at someone’s pettiness, “don’t you have something better to do?” which of course perfectly (Virgo) returns back to myself, “don’t I have something better to do than focus on someone else having something better to do?” liberating “Ha!” as we skillfully elude the inveigling trap we have just set for ourselves.
Any desire for someone else’s come-uppance so often boomerangs these tricky days…Anything we find annoying becomes a Tar Baby in Breer Rabbits Trickster Teachings.
We further remember that Saturn, Our Director Goat, is the author/producer of our story, the casting director, and director of the movie.
So whatever is grrr-y in our lives encourages us to 1st wonder why we would have written this into our movie, and 2nd write that distraction out of the movie.
And of course we are engaged in mega-story re-write, that we may tone the muscles whereby to participate in collective story re-write. Yip-Yip!

My current favorite experimental word substitution play: Let’s replace the word “god,” with the word “metaphor.”
(When grouchy war mongers have the silly conversation “Our god is more powerful than your god,” = Our metaphor is more dedicated to the violation of kinship and harmony than your metaphor.” etc.)

Trickster Call 04_19_10
I’m listening to this again, since last night I was also getting my 5 year old ready for bed, so I missed a bit…
Anyway, the part about the way those who built temples to Baal protected them by including images of all the different divinities reminded me of the second commandment (Exodus 20) which basically says make no images, not of god nor of anything. This was one of the many Old Testament rules the fundamentalist Christians who raise me chose not to take literally, but they did have me memorize it, and that is what it says. And I’m thinking that allowed them (the hard line Yahwists) to destroy temples that were otherwise safe. Because to ALL the images were sacrilegious. I do remember stories about the worshipers of Yahweh having it out with the worshipers or Baal, so there was competition, at least among the hard liners. Among most of the people, I expect it was a different story.
